Prepare a Seasonal Ecommerce Campaign Before the Rush

A seasonal campaign involves more than a new banner and a promotional email. The offer, stock, product pages and delivery information all need to support the same message. Planning these pieces together gives the team a clearer launch process and helps customers understand what is available.

Define the offer precisely

Write down which products are included, when the campaign runs and any conditions customers need to know. Confirm the details with the people responsible for inventory and fulfilment before producing creative material.

Choose a focused selection rather than asking every product to carry the campaign. Explain why the selection belongs together, whether it is a gift edit, a seasonal collection or a practical bundle. A coherent idea gives the imagery and copy a useful direction.

Build one consistent customer journey

Review the advertisement, email, collection page and product page as a sequence. Product names, prices and availability should agree. If the campaign uses a code, explain where it applies without making customers guess.

Prepare image crops for the placements you will use. Leave time to check text on small screens and ensure that the offer remains understandable when someone sees only one piece of the campaign.

Plan the end as carefully as the launch

Assign someone to remove expired messages and review links after the promotion. A customer arriving through an older email should still reach a useful destination.

Keep a record of common questions and operational issues during the campaign. Review those notes alongside available sales and traffic information. The next campaign can then begin with a better understanding of what customers needed, which assets were useful and where the team spent avoidable time resolving confusion.
